ActionBioscience.org increases its web site traffic to record levels

Washington, DC.
ActionBioscience.org page views for the first time exceeded 100,000 over a 30-day period. The site’s traffic tracking service, SuperStats, reported 101,503 hits. Statistics also show there were 43,258 distinct ("unique") visitors, i.e., Internet Protocol addresses that had not previously connected during the counting period.

There was also an increase in the number of countries visiting the site, from 149 to 152 over the last three years. In addition, more than 120 universities and colleges, previously just over 100, have posted their course syllabi online showing ActionBioscience.org articles being used as an integral part of the course or as recommended reading for the course. These include Princeton University (U.S.A.), University of Oxford (U.K.), Jena University (Germany), Lund University (Sweden), Queen’s University (Canada), University San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador), Uppsala University (Sweden), University of Queensland (Australia), and the Indian Institute of Technology (India).
